im building a house and need help with palns?

i am building a house, the floor is going in very soon and was looking help with finding a program on the computer to draw my house plans to scale
without having to download or signing up for anything
please help

How is the house being built without any scaled plans? How did you even get a permit to build without plans? How did you get a price from a contractor?



This is a disaster in the making. Unless you know EXACTLY what you want to build and it is very basic, you should have started the plans months ago. Then reviewed them repeatedly for changes you might want to make. Even then, after the house is built, you will probably find things that you will wish you could change.



Drawing the basic floor layout is only the beginning. You will also need to show where all plumbing fixtures are located, where all electrical receptacles, lights, etc. are located. The duct work and equipment for the mechanical (HVAC) equipment. Then there are drawings like the foundation plans that show the size and location of the foundations and footers.



There are packages out there that will help you with this. Go to an on-line software store and see what they have. I know Bob Villa used to put out software for this. There were others as well.

I'd agree with the guy that recommended the house plan packages that are available for purchase. You just find one you like and you buy it and git-r-done. I dispute that you have to have an actual plan though. Only the money grabbing states actually require that you have a plan. Most states let you build without a plan to some extent. For example, in my state, I can create my own house, on the fly, and without any plan whatsoever as long as it is built to code and does not exceed 1/4 million bucks. My state does however say that if there is a plan on the job site then it has to have the seal of a registered architect. Some people have actually built their home by plans drawn on an old grocery bag.



Now to address the computer plan idea. Don't do it. You can get a few big pieces of paper, a table, a square of some sorts, an architects ruler, a good eraser, and you'll be painted and moving the furniture in before you learn how to use a computer program that you'll never need again.

save ceiling heights genuine looking. eliminate crown molding, and window trim. i even have no different innovations...i does no longer take short-cuts with : shape, electric, Plumbing, or Mechanical. homestead windows are yet another section i does no longer attempt to save on, yet they do make some advantageous outdoors doorways fairly priced. indoors doorways may be hollow center, yet i could have stable on the loos, (for noise), the grasp suite, (with a one way deadbolt on the interior), and the bedrooms of young infants you're able to are growing to be keen on, (If any....for fireplace barrier). you could setting up laminate countertops, yet i could spend the money on the cabinets, and circulate with genuine wood frames and faces. flooring is yet another section, carpet is maximum inexpensive, observed via sheet linoleum, tile , hardwood. If all else fails, shrink the sq. pictures. that often works.
