I am looking for a narrow closet door about 18" wide for a two person desk I want to build. The only problem is, I can't find a closet door without grooves and etchings on it. You know the little decorative rectangles...

I am looking for one like this http://heypaulspecs.blogspot.com/2011/08/diy-recycled-computer-desk.html

I really don't have the time to browse thrift stores so I was hoping to find a regular store that carries it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Those are old hollow doors. I don't think they sell them anymore without the panels on both sides. The habitat restores have a ton of doors. I would call and ask them to please look for you. Or look online in your area for used building materials, used doors

Home Depot, Lowes, McCoy's Lumber or any other home improvement store that might happen to be in your area. Those are pretty standard and come in several widths. Just ask for "Bi-Fold Doors" as that is what they are commonly called.

these are bi-fold closet doors -- sold at all Home Depot and Lowe's stores .. the face of the doors is thin and I recommend you to use desk blotters to prevent b-point pen marks on the desks ..... paint with enamel for best results

If you are BUILDING a desk, you can BUILD the doors. Doors are FAR easier to build than a desk.
