It would depend on what you were going to club or spear . Much more work and skill is necessary to make a spear point from rebar .

I think rebar is mild steel which means it doesn't keep a sharp point or edge very well.



Also it would be advantageous to know about different tool steels, hardening and tempering and have a furnace hot enough to forge steel.
