Hi, I know you can make Silly Putty with glue, but can you do it with a glue stick? And if not, are there any other recipes that don't call for glue? Also, if you can, can you tell me how to make a putty eraser or where to buy one?

Thanks,
Sabrina

Elmer's Glue is used to make putty because it stays pliable for a short period of time. A glue stick cannot be used because once the glue is heated it becomes hard as soon as it cools off.

This might help with a recipe though: http://www.google.com/search?q=silly+putty+recipe&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

maybe it's a bit late(4 years ago) but you can make silly putty without glue.

go on Wikihow they have 5 super easy receipes, such as:

Soap Slime

1Mix equal parts liquid clear soap or shower gel and shampoo.

2Mix well.

3Stand aside to clear.

4Place in the refrigerator to set. After a few hours, or overnight, it should form a reasonably solid slime to play with.

5Finished.
