I talked with a home Depot worker about removing stain from my table and she recommended a product called heirloom. When I got home I realized the label says heavy body paint and varnish remover. Will this product remove stain from my table? I bought new stain for my table so the old stain had to come off. Should I return this product?

Is the stain just in one spot such as a spill or the whole thing is stained a darker color than you want? Go on line for answers to the spill stain, I did this and had to try different things but got rid of my stain. Use the varnish remover for all over stain. Keep in mind that the bare wood may not be matched and you can have panels of different colors of the natural wood which were covered with an all over dark stain.

No. It's almost impossible to remove a stain from wood if it has soaked into the grain.
