I have a sun room which is rather large.
It is @ 17' x 81/2" long and consist of 7 window about 27" each, they face the back of the yard, where there is nothing but woods, I decided to put up mini-blinds , looks pretty good, will do for now.
My problem is this room is also 11" x 9" wide and has about five window of different sizes on one side and 3 windows & entry door on the other.
I'm trying to find a curtain rod which is long enough to go from each end of this room on all 3 sides, but can not find one long enough. I would like to put sheers up on the windows for a bit of privacy.
Does any one have any suggestions as to where I can purchase such long rods or how about how I might be able to make some?

Thank-you

Try looking in the hardware store or home center for EMT Electrical Conduit. It's galvanized steel, and comes in ten foot long lengths. There are "Joiners" available also. If you're not into the "silver color" you can always cover them with paper, paint, or fabric. PVC (plastic pipe bends too easily, but could be used on the outside with a steel or wooden rod inside to stop the bending. Good Luck

Well, steel pipe is sold in 20 foot lengths and can be cut to your exact length. But, you would have a hard time trying to get a 12 foot piece in place without bumping into a wall or doorway. Then you'll have to figure out how to support this pipe so it doesn't sag in the middle. Other than that, it should work just fine.

Standard galvanized steel water pipe, it also has all the screw on unions. It may be a bit heavy, but it sure will not bend from the fabric weight on long runs.

I've made long curtain rods out of half inch rigid copper pipe. Works great.

A material retailer can do that for you. Appear to your cell publication beneath drapery, or window coverings. They may be able to install it too, which is good valued at deciding to buy with this type of installation.
