A guy wants to sell me his old 16" band saw. It's an old floor mount. Says the manufacturer's name is "Bird". I've never heard of this brand. I can't find anything on it online. Anyone ever heard of this saw? Worked with it? Is it a decent saw?

Check on availability of parts before buying. Even Craftsman quits making parts for certain tools after a period of time.

Yes I have. They are very good saws but hard to get parts for if it ever needs repairs. They are also expensive. So if you can get it on the cheap get it.

the new album is amazing. My favorite song is "Sowing season". Deja Entendu has some good ones on it too, my favorite one being "the quiet things that no one ever knows". check them out;)
