I want to join these two slabs together to stop movement between them ?

The idea i had was to drill Rebar into each slab joining them together in the open channel with wire then filling the channel up with concrete.

Would this work ?

Mike

There is not enough information: the cause of the differential movement is not disclosed nor the thickness of the slab or if the slab itself has reinforcing steel and not wire to able to act as a dowel. If the subgrade has a settlement issue, you may be wasting your money. The slab may not be thick enough for the reinforcing steel to act as a dowel without cracking the concrete.

How exactly do you plan on getting a long enough drill bit to do any good into that small of a trench? to be of any real help for the problem, you will have to drill at least six inches in about every 18 inches or so.

Yes,but when you install the rebar make sure you inject some epoxy into the holes just before.

you can buy it wherever you buy the other materials.
