If I use a bucket of hot water on a clogged toilet, will this make the problem worse?

I have a clogged toilet in the house and I don't know how to use the plunger very well, either that or the plunger doesn't like me.
I heard that I could use a bucket of hot water.
The water in the toilet is the average amount, but when I flush i, you can tell it's clogged.
So my question is:
Will using a bucket of hot water on my clogged toilet make the problem worse or does it actually work if I try that?

I have found in the past that using a plunger to pull rather than push sometimes works by dislodging the obstruction.

Forget about hot water it does'nt work.

You are actually using the plunger to pull the clog back more than forward. It's not all that difficult. Patience followed by dish soap. It actually works some of the times. Increasing the amount of water in the toilet increases the hydraulic pressure on the clog. If it's really clogged, you are just adding to the problem.

Add this up......Hot water plus cold glass/china equals what? Beware of adding very hot water into your toilet bowl. A cracked bowl is possible if it is tried. Then again warm water might be ok but by the time the warm water is introduced into the bowl of cold water and that warm water is diluted with cold, nothing much is gained. You might as well use the plunger method. Toilet augers are also available at larger hardware stores and are designed for toilet clogs. Electric powers snakes are not recommended by any plumber I know of. They have a tendency to tangle up in the toilet bowls hidden trap area. (seen that too) Avoid electric snakes and hot water and use the traditional methods.

It really depends if this is a paper clog or some small toy got in the pipe. Nothing will work but a plumber, unless you really push hard on that plunger, or just get a new toilet installed.

Our daughter's toilet was plugged with a child's toy we got her a new one it was better than calling the plumber. Try Home Depot they install them too.

Be a real woman, and take that plunger by the horn and WORK IT good. Hot water will only have you swimming in warm poo water. The plunger has been in use for over 50 years. There is a shred of truth to this known fact....

well it depend on why it is clogged .. a bucket of water might help it is is just a natural blockage to say it nicely...but if it is roots in line..of some like a plastic top of shampoo or ot a toy .. then no.. it av e to be removed .. get you a glove and go digging .. yes it is gross..but ..sometime you got to do ..what you have to .

It's possible you just need a new plunger.

The rubber might be too soft and cheaply made to move the clog, or it might have gotten too old and stiff to use properly.

if you pour hot water in to it it will shatter like a pane of glass,

its made out of ceramic , same as glass but colored

go to a hard ware store get a toilet auger there around $10
