Looing for a zero turn 42 mower I saw this cub cadet on Tractor supply for 2499

http://www.tractorsupply.com/en/store/cub-cadetreg%3B-42-in-signature-cuttrade%3B-22-hp*-rzt-42-zero-turn-rider

which is in my price range

I also looked at Crafstman zero turn at sears

http://www.sears.com/craftsman-42inch-22hp-v-twin-briggs-and-stratton/p-07120411000P?prdNo=3&blockNo=3&blockType=G3

Which is on sale for 2084

Not sure which is a better mower, ive been reading around and they say their basically the same except the cub is a kohler engine and the sears is briggs and Stratton.

Can anyone with experience chime in, ive been researching but I cant really find much difference in opinions looking on different sites, thanks.

You don't find much difference in opinions because there isn't a lot of difference. Main difference is the engines. Kohler is a high end commercial power equipment engine manufacturer and Briggs & Stratton is the biggest power equipment engine manufacturer in the world. Briggs is seen a lot more and is probably easier to find parts for if it comes to that but both are well built reliable engines. Sears is in financial trouble and closing a lot of stores around the country while Tractor Supply seems to be charging along and opening more. That might also be a consideration in your area. Both advertise free store delivery so no real difference there. I'd say see if the stores near you have a model in stock so you can look them over and see if there's any noticeable quality differences.

it really gets down to the warranty and which company gives the best guarantee ... GO TO the Sears Store and then visit the TSCo. and see what each offers === you might get a better price at Sears if you use your C=card and pay it off in a hurry ...... ask for a discount at both stores and maybe???
